Screen version of the famous Miguel de Cervantes novel Don Quixote of La Mancha.
In this version we find Don Quixote ready to give his own life for his beloved Dulcinea, who, together with his loyal squire Sancho Panza,leaves home to face a great number of situations and adventures, mostly created by his own mind like the well known story about the windmills.
Throughout the film the characters of this great book take to the screen, such as the priest, the barber, doña Aldonza, doña Teresa, Sansón Carrasco or the young peasant Angel (Hristo Shopov).
Most of them, neighbours and dear friends of Don Quixote, do their best to get Alonso Quijano home. It won’t be easy and they’ll have to use the same imagination Don Quixote does.
